Stanley has been in insurance and financing marketing for 22 years. He is an engineering product designer by training. He started as a certified financial planner before founding one of the most successful insurance agency. As a highly entrepreneurial person, he ventured into many areas. He became a property investor in commercial and industrial asset. He is the founder of CoWerkz, one of the first few Singapore co-working space in 2013. He also co-founded CoInvestz, an angel investment and business brokerage firm investing in lifestyle business like childcare services, food and beverages, hospitality and trading in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia.
Fred has over 25 years of business experience and 9 start ups. He developed the Effective Persuasion Method which has helped start up teams win at local and international business competitions. He works with individuals and teams to uncover subconscious blocks and to quickly remove them. In Singapore, Fred has lectured and coached 2,000 individuals and start-up teams. His intense coaching has helped entrepreneurs reduce their business failures by 90%. Fred was the first Director of Entrepreneurship Training at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore Ventures (NTUV). He co-developed the successful Nanyang Innovation & Entrepreneurship Workshops (NIEW) which was supported by NTU and SPRING Singapore.
Matthias is the co-founder and Chief Operating Office of Momentum Z. He responsible for driving organization’s strategy, merger and acquisition as well as technology vision globally. He has over 20 years of experience in cyber security and technology leadership. He serves as a trusted advisor in the area of governance to seniors executives and in strategizing and improving the overall security postures for their organization. He has personally helped many start ups in their GTM (Go to Market) strategy and mentored many founders in seeking fundings. Previously, he held several roles such as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) in a Financial Institution, overseeing funding for technology start up. He was also the Chief Technology Officer (Asia Pacific) for Symantec to drive the organisation’s solution strategy and technology vision throughout Asia Pacific.
Galven is a person passionate about innovation, ecosystem building and faith. His current role is to drive innovation at Bridge Alliance, representing 34 telcos in the Asia Pacific region such as Singtel, Maxis, Optus etc with a collective customer reach of 900m. Concurrently, he is also co-founder of Sound of Art, an art gallery and startup (www.soundof.art) focusing on faith-inspired art and visual culture. Previously he also co-founded StandCraft – a design-tech startup focused on automating the design of beautiful, experiential and modular-built structures for retail and event pop-ups. StandCraft was the winner of the URA-REDAS Spark Challenge 2018, a national design competition. Prior to that, he built, launched and marketed a travel app at StarHub for 3 years. This taught him to build and run a tech business whilst navigating the corporate hierarchy.
Alex is a CEO and Regional Managing Director with Fortune 500 companies, Board Member, Investor and Technopreneur. He is a strategic growth leader with strong background in running regional P&L, developing & executing strategy, building high performance team, business development, merger and acquisition. Alex is an experienced strategist and executor. He grows business from greenfield/startup to annual double digits growth. He successfully listed companies on Stock Exchange of Singapore and Nasdaq. He also ran a US$200m Asia Pacific Private Equity fund investing in growth companies in the region. He leads projects from several millions to US$5billion. Alex is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned investor and founded 3 tech startups. He is a Chairman and Board of Directors of high growth companies and non-profit organizations.
Tan Ching Ching
Ching Ching is currently the Director of Sandbox, the Innovation and Entrepreneurial office within Ngee Ann Polytechnic. she leads several initiatives to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students, alumni and corporations. These include PolyFinTech 100 initiative which was launched jointly by the 5 Polytechnics and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to prepare the next generation of manpower for the FinTech industry. She was also involved in the Global Entrepreneurial and Internship Programme (GEIP) whereby she leads the opening of the Sydney and London markets for start-up internships. She also co-launched an online course, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Finance with London-based Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE), with the aim to upskill the financial services professionals.
Magdalene is the Head of Innovation for Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, where she works with the leadership team to discover and empower employees through upskilling and exposure to new ways of working. She also leads cross-functional efforts to embed processes that facilitate a culture of innovation in Prudential, and incubates promising new ideas. Building on the local and regional partnerships forged during her stint as Head of Government Relations, Magdalene continues to co-create solutions with both internal and external stakeholders around the themes of skills, health and wealth. A lawyer by training, Magdalene has also served as Legal Counsel with Prudential at both the local and regional levels. Outside of work, she spends her time developing career design games and volunteering at a children’s charity.
For over 40 years, Benjamin has been developing new businesses and markets in Asia. Be it in the businesses he owns or the multi-national corporations where he held senior executive roles, he has successfully launched new products, services and companies for organisations such as Times Publishing Group and CloserStill Media (UK). Benjamin entered the technology start-up scene in the late 90s. Few years after the IPO of a digital cinema technology startup in Hong Kong, he helped launched another digital media business that won a multi-million dollars tender. He co-founded Crowdsourcing Week, a global event designed to bring open innovation and efficiency to organizations by leveraging the power of “the Crowd”. This annual event has been held in Singapore from 2013 to 2015 followed by London in 2016 and Washington, DC in 2018. In giving back to the community, Benjamin serves as advisor and mentor in community projects and for various start-ups from idea stage to go-to-market.
Jamie Tan is the founder of Flying Cape. Started in 2015, Flying Cape is a technology company that focuses on combining technology and meaningful data to help build education and community ecosystems of tomorrow. Prior to starting Flying Cape, Jamie has had over 15 years of high level corporate experience working in Singapore, Shanghai and Taiwan. She was previously the Head of Regional IT (Asia Pacific) of an American based MNC overseeing 6 countries which she had helped build via green field implementation or through merger and acquisitions valued at over USD425 million. With a Bachelor degree from NTU Computer Engineering and a Masters under the Tsinghua-INSEAD EMBA programme, Jamie is the winner of the Women Entrepreneur Award (Stellar Category) in 2018 as well as the StartUp Leader of the Year (Movers and Shakers Category) in 2021. She is passionate about playing a part to build strong community educations ecosystems and supporting budding entrepreneurs to chase their dream in creating innovative solutions for the future.
